To give you a bird’s-eye view of your production builds and changes, Tracelium provides features like file repository, version control, stock tracking, team collaboration, vendor management, and communication.
1. Component repository
Our online repository system lets you store everything in a single online space, making it easy to find and organize. Your files are all organized by project.
This will make your files easier to find and organize. Gone were the days you had to search through your computer, emails, instant message, and web drive.
2. Component versioning
Our version control system lets you quickly track all the changes made to the files and compare versions. You could also revert the changes quickly at any time.
You, your team members, and external parties would all work on a single source of truth and always be on the same page. At the same time, no one has to worry about using the wrong file version.
3. Track and tracing
Our system lets you keep track of all of the parts, versions, and variants that go into a build and the conversations that took place.
Like our name says, tracing is a big part of what we do. Our level of tracing lets you find possible problem sources when you need to or even safely re-create builds with multiple changes made in the middle of production, which happens more often than you think.
4. Vendor/Supplier engagement
Our build function gives you an easy-to-use, focused way to work with multiple external partners (such as suppliers and vendors) on your chosen parts and an internal discussion function.
You’ll always keep track of conversations that could get lost in your emails. At the same time, you can do an RFQ with more than one party and then choose your final partner from a shortlist.
5. BOM management
Our bill of materials online collaboration system allows everyone to make suggestions in a single working document.
During a build, it is common for BOM to change to fit the component availability. With our system, your vendor or supplier could suggest different parts, which the system would keep track of. You could easily pull up the document the next time you want to build and see what changes were made.
6. Online PCB Gerber viewer
A Gerber viewer that you can use online to look over your PCB production file.
You can do a live review of the production file anytime with our Gerber viewer. Such a review is helpful to ensure you have the correct production file before making something.
7. Variant build tracking
You can create a linked variant of a component to always keep sight of the master copy.
You might have a design that works for a variety of setups. With our system, you can easily keep track of all the different versions and the “master” version.
8. Experiment log
Keep a log online that is linked to the production files. This linkage will make it easier to try and keep track of things.
When you make multiple configurations for testing, our system gives you a unique ID for keeping track, and you can easily add an experiment log to a specific version for your own records.
