Update of Sep 2023

[postDate]

New version: 1.3.6

This month, with a dash of innovation and a sprinkle of user feedback, we’ve given a fresh makeover to the pages you frequent the most in Tracelium. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to you, our cherished users, for your invaluable insights and unwavering support. Dive in and enjoy your enriched experience with Tracelium! 🌟

1. Introducing Build Overview

Gathering all your builds on one easily accessible page! 🌟

The build overview consolidates all the builds available to you based on your ownership or association with the project.

Using this overview, you can promptly access ongoing builds and efficiently review the modifications.

Quick filter

The Build Overview offers two distinct filter options: ‘My Builds’ and ‘Others’. These filters aid users in distinguishing between their own builds and those made accessible to them via project sharing. Builds under the ‘Others’ filter originate from your project member.

Group by function

Beyond the immediate filter choices, users also have the capability to sort or group their builds using the following criteria: ‘Latest Update’, ‘Oldest Update’, and ‘Build Status’. The update categories encompass various modifications, including component syncing, invitee adjustments, and conversation updates. Utilising the ‘Build Status’ option enables users to categorize and view builds according to their current statuses efficiently.

2. Build UI revamp

A refined UI designed for seamless access to additional builds.

The Build UI is now fluidly incorporated into the Build Overview. Upon initiating a build within a project, users are directed to this consolidated interface. This design allows users to effortlessly transition between projects, gathering any pertinent information required for their new build.

3. Conversation overview

Elevate your experience with the new conversation display!

In contrast to the prior design, which required multiple clicks to access crucial conversation information, the updated conversation overview now offers a streamlined view of all pertinent details. This enhancement ensures efficient communication, whether interacting with vendors, designers, clients, or other stakeholders/invitees.

CC function

Furthermore, we’ve incorporated a ‘CC’ function into the conversation feature. You now have the capability to bring others into your discussions. To use the ‘CC’ facility, simply enter the required email addresses via the invitee management panel within the Build section.

Quick filter

Much like the Build Overview, you’re equipped with quick filter options to distinguish between the various conversations available to you.

Group by function

Like the Build Overview, the Conversation feature incorporates a ‘Group by’ function. Notably, there is an added option titled “My Status”. This is specifically tailored for conversations where you have been designated as the primary invitee or have been CC-ed.

4. Conversation –“My status” and Note

We’ve listened to feedback from our “invitee” users. They’ve highlighted the need to tag a conversation separately from the main conversation status, which is typically controlled by the inviter and their project members. Additionally, there’s a demand for the capability to append personal notes to a conversation.

From a conversation card, you can click on the menu icon and select “Edit Status”.

The Conversation status pop-up will emerge. While there are default statuses provided, they can be freely customised by you. Moreover, you possess the capability to craft new statuses and remove existing ones.

Note

We’re thrilled to introduce a novel feature allowing users to append personal notes to a conversation. From within a conversation card, simply click on the menu icon and choose “View note”.

Your note will automatically save all your text, attachments, and images.

5. ID nomenclature update

Upon various feedbacks from our users, we have revised the IDs to the following:

  1. Project: PRXXXX
    1. The ID is a unique 16 digits, but only the last 4 digits need to be displayed in the system for human readability.
  2. Build: PRXXXX-BDN*
  3. Component: PRXXXX-CMN*
  4. Version: VXXXX

  5. Conversation: PRXXXX-CVN*

6. Improvements

We have implemented several enhancements to Tracelium:

  1. Users can opt to receive email notifications even if they are the originators of the message. To enable this feature, simply navigate to the user profile page settings.
  2. Improve STP view function in the 3D viewer.
  3. Enabling component history tree in the conversation -> component view.
  4. Deactivated conversations restrict visibility to components and other details. Only the conversation thread and associated emails remain accessible.
  5. Renamed “Additional option” to “Additional info” and this is tracked by version control.
  6. Resolved an issue where either the invitee or inviter from a deactivated conversation could not download attachments.
  7. Added help info text for Gerber upload.
  8. Added component synced/deleted/removed status in the conversation panel.
  9. Various bugs were fixed.
